Richard Low Creative Director
Having learnt the traditional art of signwriting in Brighton, Richard went on to study typography at London College of Printing.
He specialises in logotypes and typographic branding, drawing on over two decades of design experience.
​
He has designed everything from a one-word logo, a two-page marketing flyer, a 64 page magazine and everything in between.
​
Richard arranges words in such a way it makes them clear, legible, visually appealing and communicate your messages.
Working with start-ups, scale-ups and established businesses, offering a range of flexible solutions to suit any brief, budget and timeline.

He is particularly comfortable working with clients that have inhouse marketing departments.

Kerry Low Marketing Director
Kerry Low brings to Character Design over 20 years of marketing and sales expertise. She is responsible for the new business development and client relationships.
Kerry advises clients with her leading edge marketing techniques. She also has extensive knowledge of the event sector with their second company Embassy Magazine.
Kerry is responsible for getting sponsorship and exhibitors on board at the 5 annual Embassy events, hosted for the foreign diplomats working and living in London.

Character was set up 25 years ago providing a range of design and marketing services for print and digital marketing literature.

Our client portfolio spans successful start-up companies to publicly listed companies. From top-to-bottom redesigns to the launch of new magazines. In 1999 we moved from Sussex to Herefordshire, working with clients all over the UK.

Recognising the importance of marketing for business success, we dedicated time and resources to research and network with entrepreneurs to learn the marketing techniques that have contributed to their achievements.

In 2006, we launched our publishing and events business, Embassy Events, which annually gathers over 1,500 foreign diplomats from 130 countries for conferences, events, and seminars London.

Getting hold of this audience face to face is virtually impossible. Using our unique marketing skills we built up a database of over 5000 foreign diplomats and currently host 5 large annual events in central London.

We enjoy working with like-minded people sharing the skills we have learnt.

On a personal side, we have two grown up kids and when we are not in the office we enjoy walking, cycling, gardening, being outside and having the odd glass of wine!
