About us

Character was set up 20 years ago providing a range of design and marketing services for print and digital marketing literature.

Our client portfolio spans successful start-up companies to publicly listed companies. From top-to-bottom redesigns to the launch of new magazines, Character have contributed to the success of a number of titles and three book titles have won Silver Awards and one a coveted Gold Award from the Geographical Association. In 1999 we moved from Sussex to Herefordshire, working with clients all over the UK.

Knowing how vital marketing is to a successful business, we invested time and money researching and networking with entrepreneurs, finding out the marketing techniques they use, getting them to where they are today.

In 2006 we launched our second business Embassy Magazine with two colleagues. Embassy Magazine is an online magazine for the foreign diplomats working and living in London (www.embassymagazine.co.uk).

Getting hold of this audience face to face is virtually impossible, however, utilising our email and marketing skills we soon built up a database of over 4000 foreign diplomats and currently host 5 large annual events in central London.

We enjoy working with like-minded people sharing the skills we have learnt.

On a personal side, we have two great teenage kids and when we are not in the office we enjoy walking, cycling, gardening, being outside and having the odd glass of red wine!
